We took the girls to the LDS History Museum while we were up in Utah. It was a lot of fun! They have changed it a lot since the last time we were there. There is a lot more fun things for the kiddos to do. There is even a whole area for kids to play and dress up! We only had about an hour there (then we had to take Mat to the airport to fly home), but we could have easily spent another hour!
The lowest level had artwork that Primary kids all over the world had sent in. Both Kat and Em mentined how they wished they could have sent in a picture. Then we walked around a corner and there was an interactive artwork center that the kids could draw a picture and then send it to an email address and post it up on that wall! Way to go, museum, for knowing that other kids might be a little jealous that their picture wasn't up on the wall!
The girls thought the manequins were a little creepy! :)
Em on a replica of the bed bunks on ships that some off the pioneers would have come over on - not a whole lot of room!
Em started to get a little bored when we were just looking at art work, so I let her have my camera to take pictures. Unfortunatly, she took so many that my camera died before we walked over to the temple! I was a little upset that I wouldn't get a family picture in front of the temple. But then I reminded myself that it isn't about pictures, it is about experiences. Hopefully, the girls will remember our little trip to Salt Lake to see the museum and the temple!
