Bowling!

While Grandma and Grandpa Wilson were here, we really wanted Kathryn and Emma to have some fun and get out of the house.  It has been summer for a few weeks but they have been stuck in the house with mom and the baby. 

We decided on bowling on Friday afternoon.  Emma has never been before and it has been a long time since Kat has gone.  We ended up being there when it was a fun kids afternoon program that included bowling, a movie that was shown while you were bowling, and lunch!  It was a good deal and the girls loved it!

Grandpa, Cris, Dad, Mom, Kat and Emma all went bowling while Grandma, Sarah and Lucy stayed at home.  It was nice for Mom to get out of the house for a little while, even if she wasn't allowed to bowl! :)

Daddy had to explain to Emma how it all worked! :)

Then he showed her how to bowl - well, sort of!  He showed her how to roll the ball down the lane! :)

She would carry the ball to the lane and then roll it, sometimes she tried using her foot!  Ouch!

Em would get on her knees and roll it down the lane!

Kat had a lot of fun bowling!  We tried to give her a few pointers on how to 'properly' bowl (like we are experts or something!)  She did pretty well and even got a few strikes and spares!
