Grandma and Grandpa Chugg came down on December 23 to spend Christmas with us. We had decided to stay in Vegas for Christmas this year since we had gone up for Thanksgiving. All of us were a little sad that we wouldn't see any family. Then G&G decided to come down and it made it a little better!
A Chugg Tradition for Christmas Eve is to go to the movies. I think my parents came up with this idea to make us kids get out of the house and help us feel sleepy? I don't know. But it has continued on and now we do it as a family. This year went to see 'The Muppets'. It was actually really cute! The girls loved seeing and getting to know the Muppets. The adults (me and Mat and my parents) loved the nostalgia and the little jokes that the girls didn't even notice.
We are still singing the songs from the movie around our house!
We also went out to dinner to Famous Dave's. This was Mat and Emma's choice! We had gone a few months ago when my parents were down at Halloween and Em kept asking to go back. (Mat also kept begging!) We filled our tummies with lots of yummy BBQ goodness!
After dinner and a movie, we came home and the girls got to open their presents from Great Grandma and Grandpa Chugg and stockings from the Chugg family party. They also got to open their traditional present from mom and dad - jammies!
Lucy loved the paper from the bag! She got cute jammies from Great G&G!
Emma got a cute picture frame craft and Kat got a 'bedazzle' kit! They love them!
Christmas Eve Jammies!
We then read the Book of Mormon Christmas story and sent the girls to bed to dream about presents to come!
