My mom and dad were able to be here for Lucy's birth. My mom was able to stay for about a week to help out with everything while I was in the hospital and when I came home. I am so grateful that they were both able to be here to meet their new grandbaby and that my mom was able to stay longer. Sometimes I feel guilty being so far away from the Grandmas and Grandpas and the rest of the family. It has been especially hard with Lucy's birth and wanting everyone to meet her and be part of her life. I hope that our sacrifice of being so far away will be made up in other ways. Because there is something very special about a Grandma's love.
