Lucy - 2 month Check-up

Yesterday was Lucy's 2 month check-up.  Really, she was 2 months and a week, but who's counting?!?

Lucy was great for the check-up.  She was awake and alert for the whole thing.  She was happy and talking to the dr!  Lucy was perfect - until the end... She had to get 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine.  She did not like it at all!  The look in her eyes as the needles went in her chubby little legs was heartbreaking!  Luckily, it was over as quickly as it had started and I was able to mostly calm her down before buckling in her car seat for the ride home.  She was a trooper and who can blame her for screaming? :)

Lucy's Growth Stats:
12 lb 3.5 oz
68%
(She has gained roughly a pound and a half this past month and more than 4 pounds since she was born!)
24 inches long
96%
(She has grown more than 2 inches this month!)
15 1/2 in Head
79%
(Dr thought she had a big head last month, but now it is more in line with her growth)

Lucy is really a sweet baby.  She is content for the most part, although she still loves to be held.  We are trying to get her use to her crib and today she slept for more than 2 hours in it by herself - by far the longest she has slept in it ever!
She still sleeps well at night, and wakes maybe twice a night to eat.  Hopefully it will start to get longer between feedings at night and then we can get her in her crib at night as well.
Her eczema has mostly cleared up.  We only give her a bath every few nights, and then we only use soap from her chest down.  That has seemed to help.  I have been able to add things back into my diet slowly to see if they are upsetting her tummy, so that has been nice.  I was getting really sick of the bland diet I was on for a while!
Her only issue at the moment is her stuffy nose.  We aren't sure if she is allergic to something, or if it is still her newborn stuffiness.  She wakes up in the morning hardly able to breath through her nose, and she hates getting her nose sucked out!

We sure do love her!  She is so happy and loves to talk and smile at us.  It is so fun to see her trying to talk!  She has a very strong neck and is always trying to see what is behind her or on the side of her.  She isn't rolling over yet, but I don't think it is very far off.

Next month we are blessing her at church and are excited to have a few family members come down for that.
